Tea with strangers.....

Yes you heard right! Wanting to make new friends in town I joined meet up. I agreed to meet with "strangers" at a lovely place called www.tea-money.com the weird this is I really had to motivate myself to go. I was invited to a friends place for coffee prior to the tea meet up, boy was I tempted to just stay there. I know when the soul goes against our resistance that is usually when you need to work a little harder and get past it!

I arrived went over to a busy table and said, "is this the meet up table?" ok I was in the right place. I sat down and started reading the menu, I then got up and went to counter to order. I had my nose buried in the menu, when I heard this voice say "what can I get you my love" I looked up and was just about to say...when he said "wait I know, rooibos." I replied "how did you know" he replied, so which part of SA are you from I said Cape Town. He said me too, which part? Then he opened a tin of rooibos rose hip tea and I was sold......we chatted for a while, (as saffers do) well by the time I sat down he had my number. Jayson is his name. I continued chatting
away and got to know the meet up group. As I was leaving he reached over the counter to give me a hug. Anytime you want to pop in I am here except Tuesdays and Thursdays! A bit later I got a text .... We should go for a drink sometime! Now that is what I miss about home!

Unconditional love

I've just watched a documentary on TV about an English man who thought he was really smart.  He got addicted to smuggling hash from Spain into the UK.  It started by him physically wrapping blocks of it to his body and only travelling with hand luggage.  One day his Spain agent approached him and asked him to help him with 500kg which was not very well organised, the long of the short is he got busted by the Spain police and spent three years in prison.  Just before he decided to take on the last job he was out celebrating at a restaurant with his girlfriend, who at the time knew nothing of his dealing but she started to suspect something and asked, he confessed, however he continued.  When he went to prison she gave him unconditional love and they wrote to each other every single day and he refused to let her see him in prison.  Now how does a woman do that?  Well I suppose the reason I ask that question is because I don't think I could give someone that kind of unconditional love.  Maybe the writing and communication helped?
